About us
Ni Meraya not only preserves the magic of the Amazon, Ni Meraya is:
- A place to reconnect with yourself and the environment.
- A space where people can come into contact with plants and animals.
- An occasion to experience reciprocity with the earth.
Our history
The team
Currently the Ni Meraya family is made up of a group of people of different abilities and origins, but with a common goal: to preserve our planet and especially this part of our Amazon.
Cecilia, Silvia and Luis carry out the projects related to the ACP Ni Meraya thanks to the fundamental collaboration with Apolinario and the support of friends who contribute and have helped to develop ideas and activities: Alban, Fiorella, Nestor, Michele, Mariapaz, Julimer, Nestor Jr., Kalisi, Norma, Francesco;
Cecilia
Adventurer in constant search of wonder. Italian with a piece of Peruvian heart. Philosopher, capoeirista, yogi, at work she is a consultant, trainer and facilitator of participatory processes and collaborates with organizations (public and private) for the implementation of sustainable local development projects focused on young people.
A lover of plants and visionary projects, he firmly believes that relearning to connect with nature is the only way to preserve ourselves and our planet, because it is the connection with nature that makes us human.
“Ni Meraya is a dream come true, a way to leave something tangible on this earth. It is my way of contributing to the planet, of fighting and resisting despite the difficulties. We started this project together with Luis, Silvia and Apolinario and over time new visionaries have been added. I hope many more will join!”
CECILIA
Silvia

“It is a personal dream that goes back to my maternal grandmother, with her I discovered the magic of the forest. I hope that this dream is shared by more and more people, because this is how we will change the world.”
SILVIA
Luis
Piurano by birth, Lima by adoption and Italian at heart. Geek since he was little and nerd when he grew up, capoeira teacher, civil engineer, data scientist, lover of travel and landscapes, in love with music and photography, son of the Pachamama and friend of the wachuma.
Since he moved to Italy in 2008, he has not lost touch with his land and with the sensitivity and concern he feels for the animals and plants of our planet. As a civil engineer, he promotes the responsible and ecological use of resources through his work (green construction/green building). This concern led him to wonder how to protect one of the most important resources on the planet: water and air.
“I was tired of seeing how the Peruvian Amazon was devoured by indiscriminate logging and illegal mining, so when the idea of creating a Private Conservation Area was born together with Ceci and Silvia, we did not hesitate”
LUIS
Apolinario

have worked with international organizations such as the WCS (Wildlife Conservation Society) and with national organizations such as the NGO Amazónicos por la Amazonía. He is also a consultant for conservation projects when they need it.
“I disappeared toNi Meraya to share my experience and my knowledge and thus be able to spread a culture that promotes the conservation and protection of our natural resources. I think it is important to involve communities, especially children and young people, to give them the possibility and the tools to actively contribute to conserving and preserving our land. I believe that teamwork is the only way to protect the natural resources and ecosystems of our planet.”
